Wrap around care

Breakfast and After School Club

St Erme with Trispen Breakfast and After School Club is designed to support families in our school community. The main aim being to give working parents the assurance that their child will be cared for to the same quality standards and in the same ethos that the school offers.

All staff are employees of the school who receive regular training. The Club is run under the leadership of the Head Teacher and Governing Body of the school who have the responsibility for monitoring quality standards.

The Breakfast Club is accommodated in the school hall where the children are offered a healthy breakfast snack and a drink. The After School Club is accommodated in the school hall and also have access to the Key Stage Two playground area. After school children are offered healthy snacks and drinks. The Breakfast Club will run from 7.30am until 8.35am from Monday to Friday during term time. The After School Club will run from 3.15pm to 5.15pm from Monday to Friday during term time. Both clubs will be closed during school holidays and for 5 days each year to provide staff training and development (INSET days).

The children have the opportunity to engage in a range of exciting activities both indoors and outdoors. This also plays a part in the decision making in relation to the types of activities that they are interested in. This means that as far as possible activities are tailored to the interests of the children. There is also an opportunity for children to complete homework tasks set by their teacher during the day.
